About: Angel Board

Historically, angels have made over 90% of all seed-stage investments. Obviously, we want to benefit from this collective wisdom, so we've put together an Angel Board. As a group, they have a combined portfolio of over 100 companies. Their experience provides a critical check on our screening process, ensures that our company valuations are fair, and helps maximize our engagement with the angel community.

Steve Bennet has made over 30 angel investments, including Anonymizer (acquired by Abraxis), BiPar Sciences (acquired by Aventis), and Orbital Data (acquired by Citrix). He is the founder of Menlo Incubator and a former Board Member at Sand Hill Angels. As part of his management consulting firm, Bodega Partners, he has helped over 75 companies meet their strategic and financing goals, as well as taken the CFO role in over a dozen of them.

Anu Nigam has made over 40 angel investments, including 3Tera (acquired by CA), Modcloth, and XGraph. He is the former President and Board Member of Sand Hill Angels. He is currently founder and CEO of BuzzBox.com. Previously, he founded Cerent Corp (acquired by Cisco), Siara Systems (acquired by Redback), and hi5.com. He is also on the Board of the Andrew Carnegie Society and the Zero Divide Foundation.
